Day 90, Seville to Jerez de la Frontera

Real Alcazar.
Real (Ray-el) means Royal
Day didn't start too well as I found someone had clipped the back of my car while it was parked up, bugger. However, can't do anything about it, so best not let it spoil the day. I visited Real Alcazar, which a huge royal palace, dating from the 14th century and added on over the years by a number of royals and other people of influence. The House of Trades held a very important position when America was first discovered. Queen Isabella decided in 1503 on the creation of the House of Trades to regulate relations with the Americans and performing tasks like receipts of goods and settling disputes. The gardens are beautiful, redesigned many times. Real Alcazar is the oldest Royal Palace in Europe still being used as a residence in Europe.
Just a few hedges to trim

Then off to Jerez de la Frontera, only 100 k's south, well known for its sherry production as well as the MotoGP. What a great wee town, humming but not as crazy as Seville. And my accommodation? Just unique, the best word for it. Host was lovely, homely, welcome sherry, and just help yourself after. My own wee apartment, kitchen, everything. And it's a museum! The pictures are taken in the little courtyard in the middle, all the rooms come off here. It's only 5 min walk and I'm smack bang in the middle of town.
