Day 151, Dubai, United Emirates

At the aquarium
Had a late night last night due to the time difference, so didn't wake till 9.30.
Breakfast at the hotel and then we decided to use the metro, which is so easy here.
The metro stops near the Dubai Mall, and then there are huge corridors and travelators to take you to the mall, that seem to go on forever, I looked it up and it's 900 metres! We spent the day at the wonderful Dubai Mall, visiting the aquarium, the world's largest lolly shop, the fountain and the Sega Republic fun park. All that in one mall.
Real gingerbread house at the
lolly shop
Shaun did some great shopping and we walked for many kilometres, I'm sure. It's the largest mall by total land area in the world and we saw most of it, twice. We were fascinated people watching, so many cultures. We had a few giggles watching women with full burkas, eating Burger King for tea and wondering how they were going to manage that.
Finally home by 9.00, had stopped at the supermarket hoping to pick up some beers, but alas, none for sale, so it's a dry few days.
